ML4I is hosted by the High-Performance Computing Innovation Center (HPCIC) and Data Science Institute (DSI), both at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, CA.
LLNL is a $2B Department of Energy National Laboratory with the motto, Science and Technology on a Mission. LLNL has a mission of strengthening the United States’ security by developing and applying world-class science, technology and engineering that:
Enhances the nation’s defense.
Reduces the global threat from terrorism and weapons of mass destruction.
Responds with vision, quality, integrity and technical excellence to scientific issues of national importance.
The HPCIC is the front door at LLNL for companies who would like to work with us to understand and apply HPC resources for their own needs. As a world leader in highend science and technology, LLNL uses its advanced HPC assets to deliver critical, high-impact results for the nation’s security. A decade ahead of most private sector capabilities, our state-of-the-art computing and world-class brain trust regularly fuse science, software and computing into headline solutions. Working with LLNL, companies gain a partner uniquely equipped to provide end-to-end solutions and a strategic push forward. You get computational R&D experts on your side for modeling and simulation, virtual prototyping and testing, advanced manufacturing, data analysis and more.
Whether you are a large company looking to streamline its production process or a startup seeking to convert a product idea into a major technology, we can show you the way to out-compute and out-compete.
The DSI mission is to enable excellence in data science research and applications across the Laboratory’s core missions. Data science has become an essential discipline paving the path of LLNL’s key program areas, and the Laboratory is home to some of the largest, most unique, and most interesting data and supercomputers in the world.
The DSI acts as the central hub for all data science activity —in areas of artificial intelligence, big-data analytics, computer vision, machine learning, predictive modeling, statistical inference, uncertainty quantification, and more— at LLNL working to help lead, build, and strengthen the data science workforce, research, and outreach to advance the state-of-the-art of our nation’s data science capabilities.
